    Despite the hopes and expectations of many of our friends, only ever wishing us a happy life, our summer in the UK is absolutely not of the freewheelin’ variety, but one during which we are helping our son to pack up his life here to move overseas to do a PhD, and we have to fix up our old family home to rent to new tenants. Both homes are still rammed with our stuff, and a lot of loose ends we failed to tie up or cut off when we left for Portugal 4 years ago. We have another 8 weeks to complete
