In 1986, my grandfather officiated the wedding of Hank Williams’ forgotten daughter Jett. Jett Williams had been born only days after Hank’s death and spent years fighting to prove her paternity. All of my family ganged up to tell me my papaw told this story constantly, but for some reason it didn’t mean anything to me until now.
