    A line of strong storms moved through Berks County and the region early Thursday evening, leaving 1,673 Met-Ed and 53 PPL customers without power. The largest concentrations of outages were in Bernville and in Exeter, Greenwich, Penn, Pike, Robeson and Ruscombmanor townships. FirstEnergy was still assessing the outages, while PPL estimates customers in the Wyomissing area will have service returned by 3:30 a.m. Friday.
