An injured raccoon captured earlier this week at Hart Park with a fishhook embedded in its jaw has died. A team from Tehachapi Volunteer Wildlife Transport captured two raccoons Sunday near the eastern edge of the park. Both animals had fishing lures hanging from their mouths, but one of the ringed-tailed mammals was somehow able to free itself from the lure, so the volunteer animal advocates turned it loose.
