35 tiny things that made my summer (opens the original)

    Excerpt · Neutral tone

    Read excerpt

I woke up yesterday morning and it’s as if a fairy snapped her fingers: it was fall. Fitting, considering today is the actual first day of fall. The air is crisp, the leaves on some of my favorite trees in the neighborhood are starting to turn yellow, and my dog has a revived sense of “zoom-os,” as my husband and I call them—the sudden burst of energy that returns when she’s finally free from the oppression of hot summer air.<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.

While I was having dinner in Philly this past weekend, I came across something on the table that absolutely delighted me: a cup of mini pencils with a pop quiz on which food you were going to order for your meal.<img alt="" class="sizing-normal" height

My love for color stems from growing up in Florida, so you bet I was collecting color combinations like it was my job while I was down there recently!

The first Unstuck Session is here! (opens the original)

    Excerpt

    Read excerpt

In case you missed it, I hosted a Substack Live yesterday with my friend ! It’s the first of many live hangouts in a series I’m calling Unstuck Sessions. We hit some technical difficulties right as we started recording (of course!), so the beginning of the video got cut off. Here’s the context you missed:Unstuck Sessions started because I realized I was dealing with the same dilemmas as my other interior design friends. A few of us started meeting every other week to talk through whatever was on

How to build your color confidence and stop overthinking (opens the original)

    Excerpt · Positive tone

    Read excerpt

I’m writing with an overly enthusiastic smile on my face today because I can finally share a secret I have been keeping: I’ve been recognized by Apartment Therapy as a New/Next Designer shaping the future of home in 2026. (If you’re like, what the hell does this mean? You can read all about it here.)It’s an incredibly meaningful thing to be recognized for your work, and while my inner critic might tell me it’s cringe to celebrate, I am not going to pretend to be chill about this. I’m excited! An
