In the latter half of last week I was on the road related to our Diocesean Synod, which was hosted by Christ the King, Marrietta, on Friday and Saturday, 18-19 September. I drove up on Wednesday to visit with my mother’s sister Miriam who lives in Carrollton and is the only surviving blood aunt or uncle on either side of my family but is still very much going strong. It was also good to visit with her sons, whom I’d not seen for a number of years. Christ the King did an outstanding job planning
