I’m Never Cooking Again (opens the original)
Read excerpt
This summer friends and I spent a week in a cabin on a lake in the Wisconsin hometown of Jessie Mae Martinson. While we spent our days swimming, beading, and playing Catan, we had the luxury of Jessie’s mom coming over to cook us feasts. Excuse Me New York I Wasn't Familiar With Your Game (opens the original)
Read excerpt
I have just returned home from a glorious week staying with my friends Hannah and Eli in Andover, a small village in rural New York. I visited them in February after Hannah suggested I act as one Alfred University’s guest artists last semester. That trip was also gorgeous, but blanketed in snow and busy with artist talks, spinning demonstrations, and violin + recorder performances. We discussed in February that I needed to return in the summer in a non-work only-friendship context. Prior to this
