I wrote this while riding my bike (opens the original)

For my last essay as part of the Inscribe Residency, I’m going to do an experiment where I write the whole thing while out and about on my bike. Right now I’m using WisprFlow to transcribe these thoughts. As much as I love sitting in front of my laptop all day, I’d also like to explore the area around Casa Tilo and talk about some of the things I’ve observed during my week here. I figured it would be a fun way to summarize my first writers retreat and also test out a new format for Serendipity L
Maybe you’ve met the love of your life but don’t know it yet (opens the original)

It all started in February of last year. I was out on my bike running an errand, and on my way home, I spotted Cristina sitting on a bench, listening to a guy playing guitar. It wasn’t a totally cold approach. We first met around 2019 through our friend circles, but never got to know each other. Navigating by Aliveness (opens the original)

A while back, I started following because I saw he was hosting a co-living experiment in the south of Spain. Then, right around a year ago, I found out he and his wife Nati started a new project called Casa Tilo. It’s a big house in the forest near Barcelona, just an hour away by train, but it feels as if you’re in the middle of nowhere.Since I’m in a phase of getting to know my local surroundings more, I opted to come by bike instead of train, it was a great excuse to get a nice long ride i
