    I can’t say I always loved cemeteries. Not as much as some people I knew. As a child, I would accompany my mother and father to their respective family graves at the Ljubljana cemetery. We’d replace old candles and flowers, remove weeds, and check if any of the plants needed more soil or water. It is common for Slovenes to visit their family graves on a weekly or monthly basis.
