BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — A fatal crash shut down eastbound I-74 in Boone County for several hours Thursday morning. Indiana State Police say a semi and a passenger vehicle crashed around 4:30 a.m. near mile marker 55, close to Jamestown and about two miles west of Lizton. All eastbound lanes were closed while crews worked the scene, and traffic was diverted onto State Road 75. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says the lanes reopened shortly before 9 a.m.
