LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - Runners in Lynchburg are preparing for the Virginia 10 Miler on Saturday. Thomas Bell, a runner who works beside the race route, has logged plenty of miles in preparation. Saturday’s race won’t be Bell’s first time competing in the event. “Third time actually running the 10-miler itself,” Bell said. Bell said he expects people to line the streets like they have in the past. “There’s always a group of people willing to cheer you on,” Bell said. The race dates back to 1974.
