The unlearning of more traditional/ popular/trending marketing has been a decades long struggle for me. The moment I think about doing any kind of marketing for a product or service, my brain shifts into ‘we must sound like a professional’ mode. It’s unhelpful. Part of this comes from the ongoing deeply rooted belief that I’m not good/smart enough to do the things I do. It’s normal to have some kind of belief like that. Our society is very good at installing them into us and keeping them there.
