I promise you, dear readers, that I am working on some new stuff, but in the meantime, here’s another piece recycled from my Guardian days; this one prompted by the news that the BBC is axing its Sunday afternoon skiing show after five decades. Back in 2008, they attempted to revamp the programme, but only succeeded in alienating many of its viewers.
