Well, hello everyone. Welcome to another weekly update. I’m on a train back from Liverpool at the moment, returning from a flying visit to Labour Party Conference. We had our firm’s annual conference dinner in the Liver Building last night, which was a delight. The FT’s Lucy Fisher regaled us with political insight, and we had a few decent bottles of wine. Another Monday and another busy update for professional lunchers. I had an amazing afternoon at Teal by Sally Abé on Friday. My review will be out on Thursday. But first, I was reflecting last week that I have done a lot of Michelin-bashing lately. And I’m afraid that continues today following the launch of the latest round of “grape” selections, this time from Bordeaux. I recently found myself wondering why I care. The truth is that the Michelin Guide’s restaurant selections and star system rema
