(TNS) — Wixom City Council on Tuesday rejected a developer’s request to end the data center moratorium in a unanimous vote. The board called the request “unreasonable as it relates to the potential health, safety and welfare impacts in the city.”State law bars municipalities from banning data centers outright.The council agreed to postpone voting on the ordinance adding rules for data center developments because of the number of changes suggested by board members during Tuesday’s 5-hour meeting.
