My favorite time there is at low tide, when the tidal flats emerge and you can walk forever between sandbars. I started going to the Cape almost every year beginning when my second son was a baby and we were getting ready to move to Germany for a year. He’s 36 now

No, it’s not Wednesday. It’s not even Thursday. I’ve been “On the road again” and am writing this from Eastham, MA, from where I’ve taken countless sunset photos. This is not one of my best, but I like the ideas it lit in this writer’s mind:<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!Jr4q!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F97414a16-ffde-4b58-bea5-8357ea620253_4313x
