The Art I Like In My House (opens the original)

    Excerpt · Positive tone

    Read excerpt

I stand by the truth that cool people collect stuff. Way before I had a house of my own, I started saving things I wanted on my walls — stashing frames in my parent’s basement or propping things up on the floor of my childhood closet. These pieces have now mostly found their rightful space in The Bird House. Art holds so much meaning! I love it.<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!4N77!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/htt

For the first time in a while, my calendar was blank. Everything was canceled! My classes were pass/fail. I was free as a bird. While everything shut down, my world felt like it was opening up. I figured it would only be a few months of pandemic pause, so I took the time to dream. My whole life was ahead of me.Every morning I woke up
