During these horrendously hot days of summer, I probably spend a little too much time napping and in similar restorative activities.<img alt="" class="sizing-normal" height="501.3333333333333" src="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!EExm!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,

I really don’t want to open a can of worms,1 but English is a difficult language. But alas, it’s the only language Daddy and Momma speak so it’s my burden to bear. On Contemplation (opens the original)

    Excerpt

My First Rainbow(s) (opens the original)

    Excerpt

    Read excerpt

South of us, big storms have dumped buckets and buckets of rain and rivers are over-flowing and towns are flooding. The same thing happened last year and many people were caught in the rising waters and did not survive. From what I have seen on the news, the early warning systems worked better this time and, while many people were forced out of their homes or were marooned by the high water, many folks and their pets were able to move to safety. We’re saying prayers for everyone. Meanwhile, here
