I wrote this affirmation out of my lived experiences. I reflect often of the days where I’ve felt left behind. Where the trajectory of my life felt so stunted and broken. I’m in my 40s finishing a PhD. I don’t have a heap of savings in a 401K. I live a life that some would call…boring. I don’t have the material things that would reflect “adulthood.” I’ve lost quite a bit.
