Dear readers,It was my high school dream to one day write for The Guardian, the British newspaper that I could find in Istanbul and made a habit of reading each day, accompanied by a cup of coffee and several cigarettes. I started writing for The Guardian in 2011, contributing several opinion pieces for the paper’s now defunct “Comment is Free” section. I recall the joy of having a friend take my author pic for my first contribution, fifteen years ago.Thanks
