I have always been fascinated by the idea of impermanence. Whether something is created by nature or humans, it will eventually fade away and something new will take its place. The death and decay of a tree allow new life to flourish where it once stood. Likewise, new urban buildings often rise after old ones are torn down — and given enough time, nature reclaims everything.
