As an audio/recording engineer, you learn to treat mike/instrument cables with the outmost care and love as they are fragile things made with copper strands of absolute purity and the thickness of a baby’s hair. When the session is done, you extend them on the floor and gently coil them in perfect loose loops so there is almost no tension applied to the insides. I see this and the urge to use sharp instruments rises according to the volcanic climb of bile in my internals.
