My family has lived in south-central Pennsylvania (Lancaster and Dauphin counties) since their emigration from Switzerland and Germany in the early 1700s largely because of religious persecution. I represent the 10th generation of Longeneckers. Family gatherings have always been strong feature of my family life, here on my father’s side.
