For every tree fallen in the forest (opens the original)
Read excerpt
Silence is a weapon, equally carnal wielded as it is suffered. Silence…not for the lack of sound, but the absence of ears for the vibrations to bounce along, meaning lost to open air. Existence, expression, a life loved and lost, all as ephemeral as a tear drop in the pouring rain. This is for every tree that has fallen in the forest, with only her sisters present to mourn her.<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!TiKf!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_p
