Model sailboats in Central Park. Will and I took the boys to the city one Saturday afternoon after Teddy’s soccer game and our older three had the best time trying to steer their model sailboats around the pond for half an hour. We then headed to The Smith in Midtown for an early dinner — we always loved eating there when we lived in the city (~12 years ago now!) and the noise level accommodates lots of little boys quite well. Magnetic blocks in tow, always!<div class="captioned-image-c
7 things that make our house feel like home (opens the original)

For better or worse, I spend a lot of time thinking about our house. We’ve renovated most corners of it in stages over the past seven years, but I can’t shut off the part of my brain that’s always noticing things that could be prettier or more functional or (ideally) both.
