Hi frenz,Remember last time when I told you I was going to be signing books at my local book store? (It’s okay if you don’t. I barely remember it by now… except for one amazing thing.) It was a small group, maybe 35 in the audience, and I spoke first, which is either great or terrible, depending on how the others do. (I didn’t think to read a bit from my books!)Anyway, about half way through the presentations, a woman came in and looked around the store. When I got back to my table, I said, “Tha

Hi frenz,I know, most people are in back to school mode, but I’m living in opposite land. My kids are grown, and we have no grandkids yet, so why not go against the grain? After a week at the lighthouse last month, we were in vacation mode. Hi frenz,I’m back from the lighthouse! As always, we had an awesome visit. And several families of barn swallows were nesting in various places around the property. We got

But that didn’t stop us from our annual pilgrimage to the light station. If you’ve joined me since last spring, you may not know that Dave the Support Husband and I are lighthouse keepers. (I mentioned this in the author notes of A Rider’s Guide to Dragon Healing, so if it seems familiar, you might have read it t

Hi frenz,Thanks to everyone who checked on us—we’re doing fine. Our zone never got put on evacuation status, and they’ve been rolling back the others to lower levels. We have a friend who’s been almost evacuated twice (last year and this year) and he brings us his guitar collection when he hits level 1 so he doesn’t have to worry about it. So for a week, my office looked like a guitar store. This fire was a little scarier than last year because the zone next to us went to level 1. I kept looking
