A landmark railway structure hidden from public view for more than six decades is set to welcome visitors once again as part of a special heritage weekend celebrating a much-loved branch line. Cannington Viaduct, near Uplyme, will open to the public on Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, giving visitors the opportunity to step onto the structure for the first time since the Axminster to Lyme Regis Railway closed in 1965.
