Episode Title: The Last Chapter, The Same Heart Episode Description: Jacob is dead. His sons are terrified of what comes next. And in one raw, unscripted episode, Chad closes out the entire book of Genesis with the question that's been underneath it the whole time not "what did you do," but "what does your heart say?" Joseph's answer to the brothers who sold him into slavery might be the hardest thing you hear all week. In This Episode: Genesis 50 opens with Joseph's grief, falling on his father

Episode Title: The Blessing in the Hard Word Episode Description: Jacob is dying, and he calls his twelve sons together for the last words he'll ever speak over them, not comfort, not sentiment, but truth and prophecy about who they've been and who they're becoming. It's doubt about whether he even belongs in the room. A raw look at what it actually costs to be fully present with the people already in front of you. In This

Episode Title: The Room Where You Weren't Picked Episode Description: In the middle of a famine so severe it bankrupted an entire nation, one family was multiplying. Genesis 47 shows Israel's family thriving in the lowest-status job, in a foreign land, among people who wouldn't even sit at the same table with them. Chad connects it to a recent gut-punch at work, being passed over for a project he spent a year preparing for and asks what it looks like to keep growing right where you're planted, e

Episode Title: The Pause Before the Border Episode Description: Jacob hasn't seen his son in twenty-two years. Pharaoh has sent carts. Every reason in the world says go, don't wait. But before Jacob crosses out of the Promised Land, he stops. In Genesis 46, we look at why he paused at Beersheba before the best news of his life — and ask whether we do the same, or if we only seek God when things fall apart. In This Episode: Why Jacob stopped at Beersheba instead of rushing straight to Joseph What
