September 11, 2001 was a Tuesday and a beautiful day. Today’s post is a repost (with minor changes and an update) in anticipation of the 25th anniversary of this day. For those of us who were adults on that day, it’s hard to believe that it’s been 25 years. Our students weren’t alive at this time, and their parents were likely children themselves. It is a good opportunity, coming early in the school year, to discuss the difference between history and memory and to explore the idea of perspective
