Happy Monday! Fall decided to reintroduce itself courtesy of a Nor’Easter warning on the East Coast. It wasn’t as bad as predicted in my area but I had still changed my flight back from Iowa on Friday to make sure I wouldn’t be stuck anywhere. Better safe than sorry. My visit to Coe College last week was so much fun. I did a mock TV Writers’ Room with students and I was so impressed with their ideas and creativity. It made me want to visit more schools to present a similar workshop. I also got to

Happy Monday. I’m traveling this week to spend some time at Coe College. If you’re in Cedar Rapids, please consider attending the 2026 Gorman Popular Fiction Reading Series event at Kesler Auditorium on Thursday, September 24 at 7 p.m. local time. It’s free!I’ve been seriously dropping the ball on my Wednesday craft posts. I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things come October. I have some great ideas for posts.Between the travel, prep, and trying to keep up with my daily life, this week’s

Happy Monday! Your girl is back but still recovering from my friend being here. (Mind you, we mainly went to the spa and binge watched Physical 100 but still.) Thanks for your patience last week with the shorter reading but we’re back to the usual this week. And apparently, we’re also back to seeing Strength and Three of Pentacles pop up all the time, even if it’s under a slightly different name. Yep, they’re back. But if we’re still wrestling with that stubborn self-doubt, the cards are here to

Happy Labor Day, y’all! My friend is still in town (and we’re having a ball!). My fam is doing an impromptu Labor Day get together so I have mac n cheese to make. I was tempted to skip this reading since I don’t have a lot of time to work on it but instead decided just to do a super quick post instead. We should be back to regularly schedule programming–err readings–next week.Overall, this isn’t going to be the week we’re pounding out 3,000 words a day

Happy last day of August! One of my oldest friends is coming to visit me tomorrow and we plan to be in these streets (almost) like we were in our twenties. We’ll be going to see Wicked on Broadway. It’s her favorite musical of all time, while I, on the other hand, have never seen it even though I spent almost half a decade working right next to the Gershwin Theatre. (Gotta love city life.)As I mentioned last week, I’m doing monthly themes for decks. This one has no people in it but–as you’ll see
