ENID, Okla. â Drought conditions continued to worsen in Oklahoma, with most of the western part of the state in the two most severe categories as measured by the U.S. Drought Monitor. In the latest weekly report issued Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, nearly half the state, 40.73%, was in extreme or exceptional drought, according to U.S. Drought Monitor.
