Results from the Arizona Criminal Justice Commissionâs (ACJC) 2026 Arizona Youth Survey (AYS) showed a 4.3% decrease in alcohol consumption and a greater decrease in overall youth substance use in most categories. The results of the biannual survey were published Aug. 26. More than 40,000 students in the eighth, 10th, and 12th grades across all 15 Arizona counties participated. The voluntary survey asks students questions about their substance use, exposure to bullying and more. Allyson Horg
