I have fond memories of my mum taking me to the library as a wean. I still remember very clearly the precise moment I discovered comics in there amongst other books that grabbed me, Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators, The Famous Five, The Secret Seven and the Mills and Boon series1. In those days the only comics in Ardrossan Library were Asterix and Tintin, if we're discounting Meg and Mog2. </p
