Published 6:00 pm Friday, September 25, 2026 I recently celebrated a birthday party with about 75 old friends from my high-school class of 1964. It was in Lake Oswego, Oregon, which I often describe as the Mercer Island of Portland. Our two cities are similar in size and demographics. My class members were the first of the Baby Boomers, born around 1946. We gathered for our 60th class reunion in 2024, but decided to meet again before a 65th, when some of us might not be around anymore. Inspired

Published 10:30 am Saturday, September 12, 2026 Maybe you saw me at Deane’s Children’s (Dragon) Park, Mercerdale (Train) Park, or walking around town with a goofy green Dragon mask on my head. I was at Summer Celebration, Mostly Music in the Park, Farmer’s Market, First Friday Art Walks and a few other events.
