His show of drawings and mixed media, “Journey,” is now open at The Gallery in Sams Hall of Fine Arts on the Kansas Wesleyan campus and runs through Sept. 20. Katie Comley is familiar with the Kansas Wesleyan Music Department. She spent four years with the Philharmonic Choir and the Wesleyan Chorale, often as a soloist. She’ll be the one holding the baton starting in August as the assistant professor of vocal music for this year. Comley earned her Master of Music degree in Opera Performance from Wichita State University this spring, where she also served as a graduate teaching assistant. She recently sang the lead role of Laurie in WSU Opera’s product
