First time in a long time that i wrote a song on my acoustic and it felt so special and nostalgic. The riffs for this one were written with the rhythm guitar having the capo on fret 1 and the lead guitar had the capo on fret 6 for the whole song. (tuned to D standard) it made the whole thing feel a bit grounded. This was a special one which i wrote most of on my birthday this year, i wanted to use the clean guitar tone that i used to use years ago with songs like Kraken and Perfect Storm, I think it has a real deep rich atmospheric clean sort of tone, i knew right away that i wanted to call it Earth. This was such a fun track to put together, it mostly all came from those couple opening riffs which i felt sounded really powerful and i wanted to build something cool around those. I also thought it would be good to keep it short and punchy since it repeats a fair bit. I did speed up some guitars a bit for that riff after the first chorus, i can't play that clean that fast, plus recording a couple of riffs slower then speeding them up helps retain the clarity with that thall guitar amp. Naming
