Fall is here, and with it comes the beautiful, crisp air and bright sunshine that encourages you to be out and about. After you are done raking leaves there is plenty to do with the family around town. So sip your pumpkin latte and munch your apple cider doughnuts and start exploring! First, you need to make a few last trips to the local farm stands — Breezy Willow, Tiber Park and the Miller Library. Breezy Willow is open year-round but will only have those deep red, sun-kissed tomatoes for a sh

The Main Street Music Fest, an end-of-summer tradition for over 12 years, is back. Oh, and the corn has been amazing as well. Of course those are only two of the marvelous local crops on offer at both Breezy Willow and at our two local farmers’ markets

Okay, the Fourth of July is over, and now we’re settled into the lazy, hazy days of summer. What’s up in the historic district that will make you rush right out to enjoy something different? Well, for one thing — no, make that two things — we’re getting new restaurants in town. For many years, we have been pizza-deprived, having to visit the suburbs to get our slices, but that’s pretty much over. First, River House on Main, located in the building that up until a few months ago housed Tersiguel’
