I’m at nomenclature for the time being at ravens row gallery and so far I’ve watched an elderly black woman sweep the floor and a white guy dance around in his room. It seems as though the woman is cleaning up after the mess of the young man’s impromptu dance party. I haven’t read the accompanying essay yet, which I’m sure would shed some light, but for now I take comfort in the grainy early 2000s videography and the mundanity of the task I’m being shown.
