    I was sold on homeschooling as this poetic journey through motherhood — a way for us to connect deeply as we explore life and personal interests. That journey has proven to be far more mystical than my initial vision. Though, I suppose, good poetry is like that. Family style learning, gathered with books around the hearth is what I once longed for. Like an Instagram tradwife, sold on slow living and the spirit of nature.     This Summer has been a doozy. It was one of the hottest and most humid. I usually embrace the slow down after the non-stop speed of the school year and all of the activities and commitments. I declare it ‘no camp summer’ and it’s my opportunity to surrender into spontaneity. Afternoons spent by the pool, casual meetups with friends, North Carolina adventures from mountains to the coast, a week spent lakeside somewhere.
