A Birmingham couple have been convicted of murdering a vulnerable man who had been placed in their care. Rubin Blount, 28, endured repeated beatings at the hands of Kenneth Newton, 57, and Melanie James, 63, at their Tamworth home in Edale over an extended period. James and Newton, who was Rubin's step-brother, also subjected the victim to threats, verbal abuse and forced him to remain standing for prolonged periods.
