On Friday – still in Germany – I saw a post on Instagram by the Palestinian photographer Motaz Azaiza. A little girl, gravely wounded by an Israeli airstrike on her house in January 2024, her body covered in blood. When she arrived at the ICU, they didn’t even have a name for her.
