I’ve had a strange summer (clearly, based on the title of this post). A lot of personal crises, health issues, blah, blah, blah. A quick note up top. I was listening to a podcast recently (Who! Weekly, of course), and one of the hosts mentioned how the best Substacks, the ones they aren’t relying on for any sort of real news, shouldn’t have a regular cadence. They should come out when the writer actually has something to say. It kind of totally reframed things for me, and took a lot of pressure off of using this platform in some sort of correct, meaningful way. If I have something to say, I should just…say it. And I do! P
