I have two articles in my draft posts. One about Ted, my lovely old lurcher boy, best friend, soul brother and shadow, who we sadly had to put to final rest just three weeks ago now. It will take time. A tribute to such legendary epic-ness comes easy, but not quickly and deserves my time and my tears. There’s a push and pull in grief. I’ve always felt life pulling me forward even when the loss and devastation was new and fresh in the early days and weeks after he died. I’d say I was driven almost to make sure I made it good and juicy and full on John’s behalf, as if by doing so I would somehow do him an honour.
