9.15.26Sick & feeling weird about it. I used to embrace a cold for all of the excuses that came with a cough. As a kid, I’d play up my illness so I could stay home & watch TLC while my friends filed into homeroom. I felt the joy of missing out. In college, this became complicated by a fear of falling behind & in corporate, I reverted back to my old ways, yearning for days off, taking them without a second thought. I remember yelling a similar sentiment in a slightly different font, in a slightly different setting. Thanks for reading geesebump

8.5.26It’s Restaurant week in NYC. I find myself eating, essentially, a McDonald’s chicken nugget rebranded as “the golden nugget” thanks to a choice of fancy toppings (caviar, trout, or truffles). The typical price for a single golden nugget? Thirty dollars. THIRTY. DOLLARS!! Thanks for reading geesebump press!
