A Quick Question: Should I Do This? (opens the original)
Read excerpt
After the incredible response to my appearance on ’s Coffee with the Crone a thought occurred to me: should I perform live readings from my memoir, “From There to Here”, here on Substack? Please let me know what you think! (P.S. If you are signed up for both Notes from the Front and my memoir, From There to Here, you may get this twice, for which I apologize!):
Chapter 15: Priest River (opens the original)
Read excerpt
Priest River was a tiny logging town in Idaho. At the time that I lived there the entire population was just 1,493, according to the sign posted at the entrance to the town. This is how quaint Priest River was back then: the main activity for the high school kids on a Friday night was ‘dragging the strip’, driving up and down all three blocks of Main St., just like in the movie Grease.<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!SbO7!,f_auto,q_auto:g
