As expected, life as a mom + employee + student + etc has overfilled and my Mayor’s Newsletters are going to be fading out over these last few weeks of my term! I have loved this space for sharing with you not only information about your City Council meetings, but also highlights from around town. I hope to continue writing in some capacity in the future, but for now it will primarily be for school! Thanks to the Homer Trails Alliance! Fall is my most-favorite-season, and I’ve been enjoying the

Hello and welcome to another edition of the Mayor’s Newsletter! My time is quickly winding down as Mayor, and I’m afraid my newsletters are also going to wind down in length and detail. Last month, I started a remote/hybrid and part-time four-year law program at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. It’s not feeling super part time at the moment as I settle into juggling new routines, back to school sickness through the family, and all the beautiful trappings of fall (so many raspberries to pick!) alo

Facing reality, it is likely I will be significantly paring down my newsletter content in the coming months. I am starting school at the end of August, in addition to my regular job & continued service as M

July 27 Homer City Council Meetings! (opens the original)

    Excerpt · Positive tone

It’s definitely peak July - Homer is bustling, and many of us are starting to feel the exhaustion of such an unrelenting pace. Some of us have already passed that point and are ready for a hard frost and a slower season. Either way, we will persist. I hope that wherever you are on the energy scale, you’re able to enjoy some of this amazing sunshine. We need it after all the rain! It’s been fun to see all the trail work happening on both sides of the Bay. I wish I could get out more during these

Hi All! It’s been a minute - I was in Maine last month visiting my family, and returned just in time for the Fourth of July. While the weather hasn’t been overly gorgeous, we make the best of it here. Sadie, Mocha, and I loved seeing everyone in the parade. Thanks to the Chamber for organizing, and to Kenny and Snooks for the parade escort and ride home in their incredible Pierce Arrow from the early-30s!<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!d
