My husband has just made me an extra-strong coffee. I’m not quite sure why, but while I’ve got the buzz, I thought I'd better get busy and sort some admin, which, as usual, I’ve been carefully avoiding. So the invoices are done, the emails are answered, the spreadsheets are updated, and now it’s time for a newsletter. Thanks for reading From Garden to Vase! Today we are set for 30 degrees again. As a consequence of the cutting garden has really suffered, no amount of hand watering can make up for rain, plants thrive when naturally watered by the rain, they just manage to survive when being kept alive by hand watering. The irrigated beds

Well, still no rain here for Rebekah, at Headley Flower Garden near Newbury and myself in the Midlands near Oxford. It’s been well over a month now and coupled with constantly high temperatures it is certainly a very challenging year!!Following on from my last newsletter on drought-tolerant perennials, we’re back with our top five annual cut flowers for dry conditions. As before, this is a joint list from the two of us — cut flower growers based in slightly different parts of the UK — sharing wh
