Thank you, Grolier Poetry Bookshop! (opens the original)
Read excerpt
I started my recent round of New England poetry transfusions by stopping at the Grolier earlier this month to meet James, the wonderful manager, and place some of my books and broadsides under his care on consignment. Grolier is a tiny yet maximal poetry bookshop with books floor to ceiling and on tables and shelves around a green sofa and small counter. Since the stores establishment in 1927 they’ve seen all manner of crazy times. I hope the store gets a lot of live in 2027 for its Centennial!!

You’re invited to recommend a poem for inclusion in a series of letterpress broadsides to be printed over the next year or so. I love to make friends and I love to design broadsides. I figure with this recommendation arrangement I can say hi to the recommenders and then I can reach out to the authors of the selected poems and provide them with broadsides of their work. What is Lettre Sauvage? (opens the original)
Read excerpt
Lettre Sauvage creates small letterpress editions of poetry. Founded in 2003, we got our start with the genius and hard work of Genevieve Yue. She’s the one who organized the printing of the “4th Choral Ode” from Euripides’ Hyppolytos, broadside from Anne Carson’s translation of the play that was the first stage performance at the Getty Villa amphitheater in 2006. Here we are twenty years later returning to the classics with Elijah Blumov’s new chapbook <a href="https://lettresauvage.com/product

I am quite ecstatic to announce the immanent release of the outrageously good chapbook, The necklace of Harmonia, Sonnets of Thebes, by Elijah Perseus Blumov. This will be a very limited edition -probably 180 copies- you’ll not want to miss having this one in your library! It can be pre-ordered now (https://lettresauvage.com/product/the-necklace-of-harmonia-sonnets-of-thebes-elijah-perseus-blumov/) and I’m hoping to see many copies acquired and signed by Elijah
