    I live in Ripon, North Yorkshire, a tiny cathedral city that sits on three rivers: the Ure, the Skell and the Laver and grew up in the much larger seaside city of Plymouth that sits between two, the Plym and the Tamar (and near another river close to my heart, the Dart).
