A couple of months ago, I joined about seven other Christians on a study retreat to learn more about the theology of spiritual formation. It was a such a huge blessing to journey with one another in this way. Nearing the end of our study, we gathered for an in-person experience, a chance to connect in flesh, bones and blood. Some weeks ago, my friend and I were speaking and somewhere in the conversation, we touched on the notion of control. I say notion because I believe control to be this thing we’ve made up in our heads.
